Steel panel radiators, their design and use
RADIK radiators are steel panel radiators with natural flow of air around their heat transfer surfaces. Steel panel radiators are produced in a single, double or triple panel design. The primary heat transfer surface of the radiator is made up of a shaped plate with horizontally and vertically alligned channels. In order to increase the heat output of steel panel radiators, additional convector finsd are welded to the inner side of the panel on some types. The panel is produced from two pressed shells of sheet steel, which are welded to the vertical channels with spot welds and around the perimeter with seam welds. Cold-rolled sheet steel with a low carbon content is used for steel panel radiators, which corresponds to FePO1 class according to EN 10130 and EN 10131.
Use of steel panel radiators
RADIK steel panel radiators are designed for fitting into central heating systems with a maximum working pressure of 10 bar, in which water or water solution with a maximum operating temperature of 110 °C is used. They are designed for one-pipe and two-pipe pressurized or gravity-fed heating systems. The properties of the heat-carrying agent must conform to the ČSN 07 7401 norm. The low water content in the steel panel radiator allows for flexible reaction of the heating system to heat requirements in the heated rooms and effective temperature regulation.
The structural design of RADIK steel panel radiators in the PLAN version aims to increase the design and striking nature of the radiator inside the room and provides inspiration for demanding customers and residential architects.
RADIK steel panel radiators in the HYGIENE version have structural modifications for installation and operation in rooms with high demands on hygiene and cleanness. This radiator was tested in accredited test laboratories and was grantet a hygiene certificate for use in the health sector and other similar facilities.
RADIK steel panel radiators are produced in five basic versions, on which the individual models are then based.

- Steel panel radiators in the KLASIK version– Steel panel radiators with side connections and a shaped front panel
- Steel panel radiators in the VENTIL KOMPAKT version - Steel panel radiators with bottom connections and a shaped front panel
- Steel panel radiators in the PLAN version - Steel panel radiators with side connections (KLASIK version) or with bottom connections (VENTIL KOMPAKT version) with a flat front panel
- Steel panel radiators in the MM version - Steel panel radiators with bottom middle connection and a shaped front panel
- Steel panel radiators in the HYGIENE version - Steel panel radiators with no convector fins, side covers and top grille, with side or bottom connections and with a shaped or falt front panel
