Quality that Thinks About the Future – KORADO Heating Elements in the EPD Database
16. 6. 2025

KORADO, a.s. has taken another significant step towards sustainability. Our heating elements from the RADIK, KORALUX, and KORATHERM ranges are now registered in the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) database in the Czech Republic (on the website www.ekoznacka.cz, which is directly managed by the Ministry of the Environment).
What does this mean?
EPD represents transparent and verified information about the environmental impacts of a product throughout its entire lifecycle – from raw material extraction, production, and use, to recycling or disposal. Registering our products in this database confirms our longstanding commitment not only to quality and innovation but also to ecological responsibility.
Why is EPD important for customers?
- Provides trustworthy data for environmentally oriented investors, designers, architects, and end users.
- Enables the inclusion of KORADO products in projects aimed at sustainable construction and green buildings (e.g., certifications like BVB, Nordic Swan Ecolabel, DGNB, LEED, BREEAM, or SBToolCZ).
- Increases transparency and the competitiveness of our products in the Czech Republic and on international markets.
What will be included?
The heating elements registered in the EPD database include key product lines:
- RADIK – panel radiators for households and public spaces
- KORALUX – towel rail (tubular) radiators for bathrooms with an electric operation option
- KORATHERM – designer radiators in vertical and horizontal designs for demanding interiors
This initiative follows on form our ISO 14001 certification for environmental management and reflects our philosophy: to offer not only heat, but also environmentally friendly solutions.
